ok fore the guys that have widescreen, this is a good (mod) to use fore ingame.
Your menu will be 800*600 but ingame its 1680*1050
Open the following files in a text editor:
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Settings\Profiles\Default\VideoCustom.con
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Settings\Profiles\Default\Video.con
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Settings\Profiles\Custom\VideoCustom.con
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Settings\Profiles\Custom\Video.con
In each file, edit the line:
game.setGameDi splayMode 800 600 32 0
and set it to (for my samsung 226bw):
game.setGameDi splayMode 1680 1050 32 60
Set all the files you just edited to "Read Only" so they do not get set back to default.
