I made a program (well, modified a bit the source of another program) for changing the serial of the hard drive. I have attached it to this post. Hopefully changing the serial of a single component will be enough to produce a new hardware ID hash....if not, I'll explain further.
(No, this program isn't a virus. You can rest assured.)
EDIT: I shouldn't have to say this as it is rather obvious, but don't forget to write down your original serial number before you go and change it, just in case you need to change it back.
EDIT2: Just another word in case we're dealing with people who have no idea what they're doing - select your C drive from the drop-down list. On top of that, you probably won't want to change your serial to 0000-0000...change it to 8 random numbers like 72619032 or whatever.

(Hint: You can change the digital form (the number your hard drive's firmware reports) of your hard drive's serial number as well as several other hardware devices thus changing the hardware ID you being banned under).
