I can play most blues scales backwards and forwards. I've been playing for 15 years but am a bit rusty at the moment an need time to build up the dead skin on my fingertips again. It was just a jam around 3 chords but the drummer was playing too fast and I was trying to show off by doing bass runs to meet the next chord like the middle eights in Hey Joe by Jimi Hendrix http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLnKUiybiFo (1.55). No, I didn't notice.  I would never confuse the great Gary Moore and ex Thin Lizzy guitarest with anybody who wears Jheri curl.  But then again, I don't have those 80 love melodies echoing through my head for Comparison.
