The Host/interview guy on the video seems to have little or no clue what cancer is. He makes it sound like this drug is some kind of wonder cure for a disease for alot of desperate people which is wrong. Maybe this drug did shrink an area of the cancerous tumor in a rat, but they don't tell you about the damage it must have inevitably done to the healthy cells that surround the tumor which are by pharmacutical methods indistinguisha ble like Kraut said to healthy cells. The whole problem with cancer growth is its essentially perpectuated by our own bodys. Therefore the only way to destroy it is to destroy our own immune system to slow the spreading while we localise cancerous areas and destroy them with other methods like radiotherapy or cutting out the tumor with surgery.
Ultimately you can tell by the Doc's expressions, there's no real breakthrough here. Its probably another contrived annual news release to keep the budget flowing to keep these overpaid middle-aged students playing with 30yr old chemicals happy in labs.
Its a shame other scientists are doing stuff like stem cell research to manipulate cell growth and possibly consume mutated cancerous cells without damage to immune systems but getting nothing but negative press by the media.
