Once i start up bf-heroes, i can log in and i go to the play now screen. After that it updates fine but then there is a black loading screen and my pc freezes almost every time. Any ideas?

I had the same prob with Bf2.

if u have 2xrams( like 512mb + 512mb ) , then take one out and try it again .
Caze your computer use the storage on both rams ... Just take one out and i think it'll work.

edit: Ihave 1 quest. When u get the freeze ..... r u able to alt+tab it ??  or can u open the taskmanager ??
or is it totally fucked up after the freeze ?

Sounds like your computer can't handle bfh.

Make sure you're still logged in after pressing play now.
Update punkbuster.
Post some specs so we can tell if it's your hardware or not.

Stop all of your background programs, just watch your programs to see what are taking up memory usage. It's probably your processor that can't handle the extra work.

Well, this problem is fixed for like 90%, now a other problem showed up -->

''An error has occured, failed to download config file''

I did visit the bf-h forums but it seems as if there are no solutions there.

Any help,,  ?

Disable all your firewalls, uninstall the game, and then attempt to reinstall the game.

Make sure your firefox is updated to the most recent version. Also make sure you're running firefox as admin..

It's honestly probably your minimum required hardware.

I got IE8, and i can't install the game because when i try it then the error message shows up again.

I will be getting a new computer soon but it must be able to play it on this pc.

In the next few days we will be deploying a new technical update. This update brings fixes for some of the most common problems:

-   We know joining a friend's game in Heroes can be somewhat tricky. We’ve been working on a new feature to help improve this for you. Now, when you attempt to join a friend who’s game is full, you will be added to a queue to join automatically when a space comes up.

-   We hate cheaters and hackers as much as you do. With this update we’ve implemented some new things to make their life MUCH harder.

-   Quite a few of you have been experiencing “Error 15”. For the vast majority of the unlucky this should have now gone away.

While we’ve been working on this technical update, we’ve also been hard at work on a whole new content update. More on what you will find in that very soon!

Here’s the update list in full:
Exploit Fix: Fixed an issue that permitted a number of exploits and cheats being used by players.
Bug Fix: Fixed an issue that was causing error 15 in a large number of servers
Feature: Added support for queuing when trying to join a friend or a bookmarked server
Bug Fix: The game will update/patch properly now, even if you have updated your version of PunkBuster manually
Bug Fix: Fixed an issue with banner ads not appearing correctly
Bug Fix: Bookmarked Servers should now correctly display online/offline status
