Wellington is the only area where computers are prominent, so maybe I can avoid eating someones dog.

haha IT nerd. jk i might get a degree in there once i make up my mind lol. i honestly don't see why you'd need to go to New Zealand just for a job though.  I know that here in California the rich folk sometimes hire people from places as far as Georgia to come fix their stuff.

I'm looking for a permanent job, and honestly, no one is hiring entry level IT people around here (or in general).

I even looked 2 states around me. Damned economy is ruined here.

I say go for it. Why not? If it doesn't work out its all life experience. They do require a degree level qualification and work experience though. So you really need to know your stuff before you go. They're not looking for noobs, but If you can do all that stuff most countries would be happy to let you emigrate to work including the UK, Australia, Holland, Germany, Luxemberg and so on.

There are IT jobs but for people who specialise in certain fields. My IT degree is too broad. The easiest way would be to get a student visa and do your IT degree in the UK then get a work visa afterwards.

I may actually try going to school in the UK, I would just have to hope my credits could transfer. Now that I think about it.. the cost would be double almost double unless the price of the dollar rises.

I honestly just want to get out of the country, so any english speaking country would be nice
