FEAR and vent

When i try to use the hotkey to talk to ppl in vent, they only hear static?

And my pc can't find any FEAR game servers, and yes, i did try f5. And i disabled my firewall.

Firewall, Fear needs to have access for the game and also for the server search program. Right now I am not sure of the permission that needs to be set, I don't have FEAR installed any longer.
