Right now as I am watching CNN there is100s sure to be 1000s at the White House fence cheering. (like this Pres should get cheers, the men and women fighting is who I am cheering for) Pres talking now and taking most credit for the kill (his personal order for the strike to take place).

Because they think killing Bin Laden is something positive and brings some closure for those who remember/experienced 9/11. The problem is that while many Americans are happy about this, the middle east is going to erupt in violence. Many people saw bin Laden as a martyr and this is going to make them want to come out and fight even more. CNN just released a story that all the US Embassies are on high alert right now for any possible attacks. I'm not saying it was a bad idea to kill. I'm just saying that not many positive things are going to come out of this.

Where has the civility gone? School today was like sitting in a building full of bloodthirsty animals. Do people not think about how much death America and the USSR caused in the Middle East which caused his movement to gain massive sizes? The death toll there probably out-weights the meager 3.000 dead (not to be "cold", but 3.000 is not a lot compared to the amount of deaths the US caused during the Cold War).

That's pretty much what I said to people on their Facebook status. What resulted was a massive amount of butthurt from people who got pissed off at me for "raining on the parade." It's sad because they don't see the big picture. Reality is that the attacks are going to increase now because of his death and also because the snow is melting over there and so the fighters can go back on the mountains.
