It's stupid to make a background first.  Just throw that one away.  Unless you're making some gay all grunge sig, you work the background around the image.

@ blackout: yep, i would do something like this too
definitely a lighter color than the backround.

@ mezmorize: depends on what u want to come out better.
in some pics the backround "is it", in some the pic in front is the main part.
or maybe just text? (like blakjax)
there r so many possibilities of making a good sig, so keep on going  ;)

hello :) yes it has a foresty/burger (i guess manowar) feel to it

i would add white to it personaly

i added white all over it, but put on overlay so it just lightened up the image and not so dark, check it out now

thanks for the background tip, but i mostly just do sigs/banners all grudge, a few renders here and there but i will keep in mind the background tip

so in the above sig i finalized it wit my name and lightening up, i personally like it

i also made a grudge banner, what do you all think of this

--edit-- its  reduced image here so here is direct link, also the text on bottom, should it be more inline wit the top text?

I actually wouldnt use abstract for a background as its just really simple and well boring..

You could just use a normal pic add simple things and still make it look 10x better then abstract, like I did here;

yeah that does look nice, i try some

but the thing about abstract i like is the roughness and eye appeal (in my opinion obv.)

and the 3d it can have. smooth pictures are nice aswell ^^
