Guitar...piano ....drums. Just about anything I pick up. Ive also written my own stuff.

I've been drumming for about 9 years now, since I was 10 and my daddy brought home his old ludwig set.  I play a little guitar too but I'm not good at it lol...yet.

Wow, 9 years, what heads do you use? I wanna get that Danny Carey/Josh Freese sound. Heard tuning is a very big factor in tone also...

Right now I got Remo Emperors on my all my drumsets and they all sound good.  Evans make good heads too especially if you want a loud sharp sound, kinda like the type of music Josh Freese plays.

Ive used mainly Remo. They seem to last the longest. They do sometimes pull out of tune...but its easy to get it back...just a coule cranks. Another thing is, I wouldnt try to emulate another persons sounds. Tune your drums to what YOU like...I think you'll have more fun that way.

As far as heads go you want to either go with Evan's or Remo, phantom has already explained that aspect of it though. Danny Carey use's Sonor shells, Maple I believe. That makes a difference in the desired sound so you might want to check into that. I prefer the Pearl master's series, specifically the MRX and the MMX shells.

Well if you play instruments and it includes drums, what are your fav drummers? Mine are Josh Freese (for punctuality, that guy's a freakin machine!), and Danny Carey (for his independence, each limb has it's own brain seriuously), and of course Neil Peart (Rush is the best) and Mike Portnoy (of Dream Theater, the band where every instrument player is awesome).
