If you know about the band im talking about check out their drummer Danny Carey.  Iv never been that into drums but he is amazing.

Then you might enjoy some Mike Portnoy from the band Dream Theater. One of the if not the best technical drummers.

does anyone else notice that mulletike formally gave everyone here a big "fuck you" about a week ago and said he left? Why the hell is he still here? I thought you said you were gone for good?
back to the subject, i'm not an emo fan. I can recognize the talent needed to play, it's just(in my opinion) being put to the wrong use; not that their is a wrong or right way to use your talent, just in my opinion emo is wasteful. And they have obnoxious names like "tears of inverness" or "lying in a pool of blood" or something not very creative like that. There's my 2 cents.

all right, since we're on music, I thought I would put one of the best songs ever recorded on here.  Tool is different from most any band out there, they are more like prog rock, to tell the truth I don't understand alot of what they are talking about, but thats what's fun about them, trying to figure it out.  This song is waaay more straightfoward, its about how Keenan(the main singer) wishes the whole city of LA would receive an "enima" so to speak.  Don't try to figure out the vid, Tool's vids usually suck and prob make sense in some weird way.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NthIXRH8U1k

ps: don't diss the song if you only listen to shit like korn or coldplay

TOOL is for kids who don't take showers and act like they're tough, but really they're just stinky.  The music and baseline in that video is bland also.......... .

some say dream theater is repetetive... but I think tool is waaay too repetetive, and not enough energy in the music.  It's just always so monotoned and tedius...

Only pussies and bullshitters buy TOOL's phony image.  I'll tell you why you don't get their videos: they're bullshit teen-angst art projects.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDe6mn2q0X8&search=aphex%20twin%20fingerbib  Just watch it and enjoy it for what it is: pretty colors.  The song is Aphex Twin's Fingerbib whose beat I consider awesome.

2 Xiu Xiu songs:

(check that badass percussion) and...

Xiu Xiu videos may not be too enjoyable if you cannot imagine the recorded versions of the songs, but each medium brings its own strengths.

I consider this powerful art, and I consider TOOL bullshit.
Xiu Xiu:A fireball::TOOL:A bombthreat (goodluck, Wasser)  ;)

Thanks, and does anyone have any tips for the SAT they would like to share?

back on topic, as much as i dissaprove of Tool, i must admit that i'm rather drawn to 46&2, one of their older songs. By the way, didn't they just release a new CD like a week ago?
