3.0 ht in the eyes of aps is the same damn thing as dualcore. Until aps and games start taking advantage of dual cores they are useless unless you run a server then you will use it.

The video card is the standard option, no upgrade to dual. It's a geforce 256mb 7900gs. I don't know the complete specs of it. If anyone has it, does it run the new games pretty well? Going from a 400mhz pc to 3.0 ghz dual core is going to be freakin awesome.

I got a Geforce 7800 Gt and it runs the game fine. very little lag on bf2, but everyone lags on that game. No lag ever on any other game. Well yeah...

I have an ati x850xtpe 256, and it runs all games on highest setting with aa all the way up and api at 16x  all at 0 lag.

my comp is 5 years old, no upgrades and i run BF2 on full settings with zero lag

good to hear you got an xps, you made a wise choice, like bone said, there good puters . i to got an xps 600, got it for graduation present at the end of may. Specs

Intel Pentium D Extreme Edition 3.46 GHz
2 GB Ram
GForce 7900 GTX (not dual)
80 GB 10kRPM HD
500 GB Western Digital MY Book HD
a fukcing beast, a nice upgrade from my pos laptop i had for 3 years heh

kingpin, did u experience any problems on the initial bootup or anytime after that. I have not received my pc yet (coming in a week or so), but i read reviews by some ppl that said it glitched at beginning or froze a lot.  Is that true?

ya when its a cold boot, meanting computer was shutdown for a while, the bios screen freezes in some cases, and 3-4 times in a row. i have not found a fix. i belive in future bios update will fix this
