I need help on setting the correct resolution for bf 1942. I have it set to the max res in both pc and game, yet it still appears pixelated or blocky. i have nvidia geforce 7900 gs and 2007wfp, 20 inch widescreen. what do i do to improve video quality in the game?

Sorry dude its an old game.  Suck it up and run 800X600.  Especially if its an LCD moniter the res. sucks.  The game wont support the optimal res of that moniter.  I have the same problem.  I cant run 1280X1024 which is my optimal.  Unless there is a patch that someone knows about.

i was playing on random servers last night asking about this problem. some guy said that there was a patch for this on ea, but i could not find it. i have read some sites that tell you to go to specific files and change the number or values to get your desired resolution, so some say it works. any one else have any good tips for this problem. thx lightning.

they are important to me cuz if you have bad graphics then you won't be able to see who u are trying to kill, that may be a problem....

I care, that's why i started this post. The avatar I have is a closeup of the exact instrument I play, the tenor saxophone.  So, can any1 help with the widescreen problem. Oh yeah partyboy, I saw that video on Chappelle's Show, the couch thing funny.

is there any way you can make the game into a 4:3 aspect ratio?
if thats possible, then everything would be perfect.
