Okay i use a Headset for ventrilo and stuff and i was wondering if there was a way you can use regualr desktop speakers and have Game sounds like BF1942 and other games come out of the Speakers, but have vent come out of the headset?

What I do is I first start up battlefield (with my headset plugged in the computer) , and then start up ventrilo. It works for me, but it might not work for you.

i believe you can do that if you have dual sound cards.

even if u did have dual sound cards, the game sounds would be getting sent out to the headset no matter what.

Just set your sound to how you want it on ventrilo so you can hear people right and then for Battlefield customize the sound so that it is quiet so you can still hear when people talk and what they say, but still have some game sound.  That's what I do and it works just fine.

Yeah that's what I do too, adjust my ventrilo and game volumes to where I want it.  But I think Partyboy wants to hear the sweet sounds of the games on his speakers out loud and he wants to block out all the foul langage on ventrilo!!!  Ha.

ya, same here. One time my cat ran by really fast and knocked the headphone cable out of the jack so i got imense feedback coming from my speakers, and it was right when titties was on some racial tirade when my mom was comming in the front door. I blamed it on VOIP, eventhough i was playing bf42. They don't really get computers, so it was easy enough to convince them.

hmmmm...beats me, and on top of it it's not even my computer, i wish it were in my room those other noobs don't even know how to use it.
