I don't know what to say, I have went over all the settings and all is ok. Frankly bf1942 is a resource hog and our dedicated just doesn't have the horse to push 2 servers. I have looked at all settings went through the registry, I even went as far as to change the server allocations for bf1942 alone.

We have to options at this point. Either we suck up and run "1" bf1942 server or we get a Xeon server.


I will leave this up to you all, a Xeon cpu is meant for server use. Our current server has a P4 witch which is good for internet aps like apache, sql, php for a website.

So at this point *MAFIA* needs to decide.

A lot...  $130 to $180 a month... But the horse power would be real usefull to us. That is if we could keep it. That much power we could run many servers with no lag.

Just wondering, are you sure its the CPU? I mean, can't it be something else, cause like a month ago we didn't have this crazy ass lag

Bone...I for one appreciate everything you are trying to do here...Please do not think for one minute anyone is blaming you...I know you don't but I just wanted to state the obvious...That being said, I do believe we need to explore the options available and then as a clan make a decision...You can count on me for the monetary support I am always good for each month

Well boemann, since then. Partyboy has added more mods to the maps. That is the only thing I can think of that has changed.

I love you Bone as a person, and really appreciate your hard work for the clan. Just had to say that. I agree with swampfox, lets look at what the options are and then decide as a clan on what to do.

I was wondering, is it possible to buy a seperate XEON processor, and then ask the hostcompany to put it in the server?
