Lmao, I thought you would be wiser chris... that videocard (2900XT) is not better then even a non overclocked 8800GTX whiche has been released 6 months(!) earlier...

ATI hasn't released their 2900XTX card because it was supposed to beat the 8800's but it didn't (lol)

lol boemann i've read so many user reviews, not just one, and it beats an overclocked 8800, i've been looking at many benchmark tests, and the reason why it may show up as low fps for some games is due to the fact that it's in it's first driver, which is obviously gonna be improved to pwn

and lol that 8800gtx has 256mb more hahaha so if u give that 256mb extra into a 2900 it surpasses that 8800

Now because the 8800GTX, with a lower memory bus of 320bit(compared to ati's 512), and only 128 steam processors (compared to ati's 300) wins it in benchmarks, doesn't that just prove that although ati's specs are better THE ARCHITECTURE SUCKS?

EDIT: Btw, I think if you talk about 'ati beating nvidia' you mean that card is beating the 6 months old 8800GTS not the GTX

It is good if you compare it to the 8800GTS 640mb, not when you compare it to the 8800GTX. The 8800GTX owns this card.

Also, chris, you say 'give the XT that extra 256 mb memory and it will surpass the 8800 GTX. Well thats kind of dumb, cause then you have a card with the same memory, but more bus width and more stream processors. Aka, you should give the 8800GTX an nice 512Mbit bus too, and ofcourse add 172 stream processors and see whiche one wins. And I know its going to be the 8800, because the way it is right now, with a lower bus and more then twice as less stream processors as ati's card, it still owns it. And that really hasn't much to do with memory, but with the 8800's architecture which owns .

lol, by the time the 2950's come out Nvidia will have their new 89** cards ready (hopefully) and that 8950GX2 sounds like complete ownage to me ^^ QUADSLI w00t.

Oh and ATI sucks because this card was supposed to be released 6 months(!) earlier.. rofl, long wait for this crappy card.
Ha and if you want to get it you may want to attach a nucleairpowerp lant to your pc, because the power consumption is just way to big.

pffft 240w is small fries for my 650watt ps.  and also the 2950's are to be realeased in Q3 Fall.  so it's not far away.
and the reason it got delayed was because of the ati and amd merge, therefore it seck back lots of things, since there was new management and what not.

240w is a lot for a videocard with that kind of performance lol. I think its also Q3 that Nvidia is going to release their 89** series, I can't wait to see them benchmarks
