Apostrophes are mostly used to show possesion/ownership, not plural form. Its "penises"
I already knew what you said, but I didn't feel like getting into it, that's why I said "mostly", not "only." Yes, they show contractions too, and the whole "its, it's" thing. But I didn't say that appostrophes didn't show anything but possession.
My point was that it was usually NOT to show plural, that plural forms are MOSTLY done by adding an "-s" or "-es". Good try though.
