USB Router

My ethernet port on my computer doesn't work, so Comcast installed internet through a modem with a USB port instead.  That's fine, but now I want to get a router so other computers can hook up.  The guys at Best Buy/Circuit City told me they don't carry it, but it can be ordered online.  I've looked but can't really find anything.  Any links or suggestions?

Its not the name brand, its the type.  I know how a router works with network/ethernet cables, but I don't have that.  I have USB hook-up.

Where is the problem?

Use the other computer as the source of the connection with the router attached to it.  Then just buy yourself a wireless USB adapter so that you can connect to that router.

Either that or just simply buy yourself a new NIC card that can attach into any PCI slot.

his nic works, but i bet he has a driver issue with it, look in control panel, hardware, and see if your nic has a yellow mark on it.

When I went into the device manager under system properties and looked at my hardware, my fast ethernet adapter network thing had a red x on it.  When I plug something into it, it doesn't light up, so I know it doesn't work.

Just my opinion...Misf it...but you might consider crawling back into what ever woodwork you crawled back out of. If you wanted you opinion to be worth something, you probably shouldn't have quit, gotten kicked out or whatever your little sob story might be.

Get your facts straight - He doesn't have a sob story, he didn't get kicked out.  He chose to undo his Rookie status himself because he didn't want to join *MAFIA*.  There's nothing wrong with that.  And I care more about what Killed A Guy has to say than Misfit.

Anyway, my USB/router problem has been solved, so this is closed.
