I clicked update in the game server browser and no servers were listed:



I checked out gamespy and no servers are listed either:



So I had a look on the rank link on our front page and there's 4 people on OUR server yet I can't even get on:



Clicking through I find the www.elst.nu server and there's 28 people playing right now:



Is everybody apart from me using some new BF server browser cos I don't have a clue how to get into game?

I'm not sure the explanation behind GameSpy, but have you checked your firewall? I know that some programs restrict the game and when you click on Multiplayer or Update, it won't go through because it's being blocked. But if you haven't changed any firewall settings or installed a new program, then I don't know what it is. Maybe EA is just having technical problems right now..

Oh, have you tried updating it without your filters?

easy one,

1) restart you PC.
2) go the your firewall setting and look if bf1942 is in the list if not add it.
3) look at your server filter
4) if that's not working or if bf1942 is already in the firewall list,

go to your Documents and delete the folder ''Battlefield 1942''
then go to ''Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Settings\Profiles'' and delete the map ''Custom"

after that start up bf1942.exe and make a new profile with your normal setting and go to multiplayer and update your list.

if that's not working let me know

i have the same problem. when i ''update'' the bf1942 list, only 3 servers are showing up. but the servers aint yellow, so im not allowed to play that maps, and i don't even want to. crazy shit you got the same problem.

I only get 50 or so servers, three of which are yellow... Max # of ppl on line = 50. I think this is something more than a firewall problem?
