OK i know this is such a noob question but...wtf i think i have the right patch installed but it still only has 1.6 when i get on the game.  I have 1.6 now will some1 please tell me exactly what i need 2 download cause i guess im retarted lol

OK I tried that link but when it is installing it stops and says that i have version 1.06.101 installed  and that the patch upgrades 1.06.001 to 1.06.101.... but if i have that patch installed which i do then y r there only like 7 servers when i look at the server list... well there like like 500 servers but only 7 are orange that i can get into, well around 7

That is possible that you will only see a few servers running 1.6. Install all the way to 1.61 then DL the patch switcher and all your problems are fixed.

Get the incremental update.  It should be the first link you see, in the middle of the page.  Its 6.41 MB.  Once you download it to your battlefield 1942 folder you'll have to install it, then you should be all set.

Ok stop... Do you have to update to 1.61 from 1.6? If you do go to Beetle's link. EAs patch will find your copy of BF and put the patch where it needs to be.

IF you have already done that and you are asking about switching back and forth from 1.6 to 1.61, then you need the patch switcher found here... PATCH SWITCHER
