Hello,

   I was wondering if someone would know why our server would be greyed out to me this is the 1.6 server??? I can get on the 1.61. I looked to see if there was something I was missing I can't seem to figure it out maybe I have to uninstall something?  Sorry to bother yous but thanks for what anyone can do or the ideas they can give.

You need the patch switcher and you need to switch back to the 1.6 patch before you can join the 1.6 server. You can get it: http://www.mafiaowns.com/Forum/showthread.php?t=304

Thats probably it, but if it doesn't work, the IP might be wrong because it just changed recently.

Now when he/she says "I can't get on the 1.61" - you can take that as he/she doesn't use the 1.61, or he/she is using the wrong IP.  Yeah, I know he/she said "this is the 1.6 server" but then why would he/she even mention 1.61...  I know what you're saying, but re-read it and understand what I'm saying.  You're not wrong, but I'm not either.

Yes Insane... Me being as old as I am I can understand that SeXyKiTtEn CAN'T get on 1.6 server and CAN get on 1.61 server, so the patch switcher is needed.

OK well I'm awake now.  The "confusion" was that for some reason, even though I read your original post like 20 times, every time I still got "can't" from "can" when you were talking about the 1.61 server.  It all makes sense now.

and kitten make sure u switch the patch before u start the game, it took me like 2 months to figure that one out.

OK I switched and it said it was copying somthing then I pressed enter to continue and the patch box closed?
When I enter the servere is still greyed out? help pleaSE:(

Well once you switch patches and continue and say ok and close the box, then load the game.  When the game is loaded, look on the bottom left when you are searching for games.  Its should say "1.6" and most of the games should be grey (they are on 1.61).  If it says 1.6, then make sure the IP is the 1.6 IP, and NOT the 1.61 IP.  But you need to get on Ventrilo and talk to us about it, its a lot easier to figure out whats wrong and to explain it to you that way...
