Okay we are having a test in Band on monday and we got a sheet of music. Part of it is in 5/8. I can count some of 5/8 but not that good. like i i know that 5 means 5 beats in a measure and 8 means the 8th note gets the count. So i thought i would post some measures and see if anyone can help me count it.

If I remember right the 5 is the number of beats in the measure and the 8 means that the 1/8 note gets one count or beat.  So for example 5... 1/8 notes in  a measure or 10.....1/16th notes to a measure.  This is what I remember from school.

okay i got the counting down but where i am stuck now is if Those 16th notes will be played as 8th notes, since its just 1 & 2 &. Or would you make the 16th notes just 16th ntes but and 2 other 18th notes so it would be 1e&A 2e&a, even though its just 4 16th notes.

I think you are close on the second post.  The 2+3 should help out.  The first quad is 1 & 2 & the next group is 3 couts as far as I can see the 1/8 with the dot gets 1 1/2 counts and then then the next is 1/2  a count and the last is a full count.  I think it would be counted like this 1 & 2 & 3 4 & 5.  So there u go.

Hey Roshn i forgot to mention, when you set the Time Signature to 5/8 does it count a Quater note for 2 beats? cause it doesnt sound like it. And becuase the program is for printing also.

EDIT: Yeah Roshan, im pretty sure it doesnt know becuase  i put a quater note and 3 8th notes in 4/4 , then a rest and then in 5/8. And it sounded exactly the same i dont think it gave the quater note 2 beats and the 8th notes 1.
