need help once again

ok so i just bought a stick of memory, a gig and my computer isn't recognizing it. what should i do?

omg i might know this one!
Put the stick with the highest amount of memory in your mobo first. So if you have the 1gig stick you bought, and maybe 512mb that came with the computer, have the 1gig stick replace where the 512mb stick was, and put the 512mb stick to the right of the 1gig stick. Hope this helps.
