HISTORY!! 16-0

For all of those who missed the game the New England Patriots beat the New York Giants 38 to 35. With that the Patriots accomplished a undefeated regular season of 16-0! The only time a team went undefeated was the 1972 Dolphins. This record, now withheld by the Patriots occured at about 10:20 p.m. Central Time. Now the Pats have secured a divisional spot in the playoffs.

If they lose in the playoffs their 16-0 record pretty much means shit. They'll lose to the packers in the superbowl.

Commissioner Roger Goodell fined Bill Belichick $500,000 -- the biggest fine ever for an NFL coach -- and the team $250,000 after determining New England violated league rules by videotaping defensive signals from Jets coaches in the teams' regular-season opener. The Patriots also will have to forfeit either a first-round draft choice or second- and third-round picks.
