i know its kind of hard to do this over the internet and all but im havin trouble with my microfone. I can hear everybody on vent but i cant talk. my outbound volume is at max, i treid reinstalling vent. if anybody can help that would be great so i can go on vent agian.

Well. is it plugged in? Is the switch on your mic (if there is one) turned on?

as far as i know there is no switch on the mic

Go to your audio controls and unmute the microphone and talk into it. If you can hear yourself on your speakers then the microphone works and you have a problem with ventrilo. If you hear nothing, the mic is probably broken and its time to get a new one.

hmmm i think its time for a new mic all the volumes are unmuted and it still dosent work

Make sure what ever sound card driver / program you have has the right input check for the mic.
