Converting MOV to MP3, how?

I have a digital camera that makes movies with sound, but the movies are in MOV format...

Anyone know how I can take QuickTime video (MOV) and convert it to MP3 with out getting QuickTime Pro? In other words, FREE program.

You going from .mov to .mpg, correct? If so, like Bonehead said, VDM is a damn good program, aside from a few bugs I've run across converting .avi to .mpg. Too much shit to tamper with.

I checked out that program, well the write ups about it... I don't know if it is me or what but it seems way to much to understand. Looks like paying the $30 for QT pro is what I should do.

You do that then and get one of the worst codec converters ever made best of luck.

Well I don't plain on doing any time soon... I just don't understand the program you sent me to. MAYBE I should just Dl it and look at that way instead of reading about it.

I don't have it... The file is something like 300mb (me 56k). I was reading about it on the web site.

Thanks but I'll down load it with may DL manager and I'll have in a night or 2, lol you know me if it was a bf mod I would have it by now.

I think I will start it tonight and see what it is all about.

EDIT... See I have no clue about this program, it is only 2mbs. I guess I misunderstood the DL page... BUT Bone, I don't see so far that this program will read MOV, any thoughts?

Aaaa guess not... I have "VirtualDubMod_ 1_5_10_1_All_i nclusive" and the patch "VirtualDubMod_ 1_5_10_1_b2439 ".

There is SO many files to try and understand on that page... Could you help me out and show what I need? When you have time.

Is what you need I think. Which is what you said you have. I don't know what Bonehead has but if you need codecs, I use the K-Lite Codec Pack. Just search it on google, its has a shitload of codecs, but maybe Bone knows of something better?
