The only thing funnier than that is actually voting for Obama.
Why? Are you happy with the way things are going right now? I really don't think you have seen the current situation in many, if not all, parts of the country. McCain isn't promising anything new; it's just going to be the same as Bush. Are you going to bring up the issue of experience? It's very likely that McCain might die during his term and Palin will be in charge, and that's pretty scary. I hope you know something about her, because most people still don't. She has less experience than Obama, being a mayor of a small town and a governor, and that makes her qualified to lead the WHOLE country? Atleast Obama has experience in the Senate and has done many good things for Chicago, unlike Palin and her recent investigations
. Bet you haven't heard about those. Troopergate? Bridge To Nowhere spending? Personal spending? What foreign policy experience does Palin have? She claimed she visited Iraq but an investigation proved that she went to the border but never actually set foot into the country, since she didn't have clearance to do so. So we are at a crisis with Russia, Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan and you want someone to be in power who claims she can "see parts of Russia from here in Alaska" when asked about the situation in Russia!
Or are you just scared that a black man might have power and be able to make decisions? Oh now you are going to say he's Muslim, aren't you? What does religion have anything to do with this? Did he say that if he becomes President, everyone has to be a Muslim? This is America, a land of diverse people. This land never belonged to you, it doesn't belong to me, and it doesn't belong to him. We are in this country as a whole.
It was wrong for us to go into Iraq. Do you know why people like them attack us, like they did on September 11? It's because we have been in their country, telling them what to do. I'm sure you wouldn't like it if some foreign nation came into America, took over and told us what to do. The "terrorists" didn't even come from Iraq. Maybe if the US had focused on Afghanistan or Pakistan, we wouldn't have been going on for this long. Yes I'm grateful for the soldiers who gave up their lives to help keep our "freedom" but that doesn't mean that they want to keep fighting, nor do we. They are the ones who signed up for the army and wanted to fight; no one forced them to be in it.
Back the political side of this...I'd rather have something new and turn this country around rather than keep going with the same policies and hope that it will change something. If you think fighting your way through to gain support of other countries and settle problems is a good idea, have you paid attention to the last 8 years?
